Mastering the Financial Maze: Subhash’s Journey from Manager to an MBA Graduate

Meet Subhash, a seasoned professional with 7 years of experience, steering the ship as a Manager at State Street, deeply rooted in the world of Fund Accounting. “In the market, this process is where the money truly is in the investment bank,” Subhash confidently states, hinting at the financial labyrinth he navigates daily. Subhash shares his Executive MBA journey with WiseOwl Edu

But why embark on an Executive MBA journey after 6 years of hands-on experience? “After reaching managerial heights, it’s not just about the numbers; it’s about managing people, leading a crowd, and being a fair leader. An MBA became essential for that,” he explains, revealing the pivotal decision-making moment.

Choosing Dayananda Sagar University for his Executive MBA wasn’t arbitrary. Subhash had three compelling reasons. “The program delves into the corporate world, not just the subject matter. It’s the perfect blend of learning the ropes and understanding corporate culture,” he shares, emphasising the unique approach of Dayananda Sagar University’s Executive MBA.

Faculty plays a crucial role in any educational endeavour, and Subhash attests to this. “The faculty brings real-world experience from HR, Marketing, and holding significant positions. Their practical insights enhance the learning experience,” he acknowledges.

Beyond the classroom, networking becomes a game-changer. Subhash’s final semester encounter with a professor from his industry rival’s company opened doors to a vast network. “Meeting a professor from my field during the final semester facilitated connections and networking opportunities. Now, I have plenty of contacts in their company,” Subhash recounts, highlighting the unexpected benefits of networking

Addressing the online education debate, Subhash found flexibility in balancing work and education. “Managing work-life balance was more flexible with online classes. DSU offers Hybrid models both offline and online classes. Despite my night shifts, the timings were accommodating, making it manageable in my schedule,” he shares, debunking the myth that online education complicates schedules.

Finally, on his convocation day, Subhash reflects on the journey. “Wearing the cape after so many years feels truly gratifying. It’s my second convocation, marking the completion of my Executive MBA after six years since my undergraduate. Standing here today is simply awesome,” he concludes, encapsulating the pride of achievement and growth.
