Joining Executive MBA after 18 Years: N C T Ajith’s EMBA Journey

Meet N C T Ajith, an experienced professional with almost 18 years of dedication to his role as the Area Sales Manager for BobCat India in Kerala. His journey took an exciting turn when he decided to dive into the world of an Executive MBA to take his career forward. “After 18 years, it’s high time for me to think about my promotion,” said Ajith.

Recognizing the need to enhance his skills beyond sales and marketing, he embarked on this academic venture to fill the gaps and broaden his managerial capabilities. “There was something which I was lacking, and it became very clear when I attended the course.”

When asked about the influential faculty members who played a pivotal role in his learning, Ajith doesn’t hesitate to acknowledge their impact. “All of them were good, but I would like to name a few,” he shares. Prof. Ramesh N, The Dean (Capt. A. Nagaraj Subbarao), Prof. Muthu for Accounts, Prof. Jitendra Patri for Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Karunakara Kudupu for Consumer Behaviour—all contributed to Ajith’s newfound understanding and confidence in various aspects of business.

Reflecting on the 17 months of his Executive Education, Ajith emphasizes the transformative nature of the experience. “I was lacking some skill sets, and I added that up with this course,” he notes. The level of training, coupled with the enjoyable on-campus classes, significantly contributed to his growth as a professional.

He also expressed how the support from his family and colleagues played a crucial role in his journey. He said, “I’m thankful to my family first and friends who motivated me, within this batch, that I will appreciate.” The sacrifices made by his family and the encouragement from friends fueled his determination to succeed in the course.

When asked about the three reasons he would give to those considering joining the Executive MBA program, Ajith provides insightful advice. “First, it adds to your skill set… Second reason is it doesn’t take up so much of your time… Third reason is that if you put in your effort, you are here to get the degree“.

As N C T Ajith emerges from this transformative educational journey, his story serves as an inspiring testament to the value of continuous learning and the positive impact an Executive MBA can have on one’s career and personal development.
